Your admiration for Tom Riddle's brilliance overcomes your doubts about his intentions and you hire him. As you suspected, he soon begins recruiting his best students to become Death Eaters. You try to warn the staff at Hogwarts of the danger of keeping him on as a Hogwarts professor. Most of them are unconvinced and reluctant to fire him in the middle of the school year for fear of leaving the students without anyone to teach them. At the end of the school year you do fire him, but by then he has already recruited enough followers that despite your best efforts he is able to take over the wizarding world.
