At first the Potters choose James' best friend Sirius Black as their Secret Keeper, but then they have a change of heart and decide to switch to Peter Pettigrew. Their reasoning is that Voldemort would suspect Sirius of being the Potters' Secret Keeper and torture the secret out of him, but he would never suspect that such a weakling as Peter would be considered trustworthy enough to be chosen for such an important position. You see some merit in their argument, but you also see merit in a countervailing argument: if Voldemort discovers the truth, he will have a much easier time with Peter than with Sirius.

If you choose to honour the Potters' decision to switch to Peter, turn to page 19.

If you choose to convince them to stay with Sirius, turn to page 17.
